This tour is designed to provide an overview of India's diverse regions and local cultures.

Delhi and Varanasi

  • Begin in Delhi with private sightseeing that includes Old Delhi and the Craft Museum that displays and sells rural crafts from throughout India.

  • Visit the holy city of Varanasi — know as the City of Light, this is one of the world's oldest living cities.

  • Explore the riverbanks lined with stone steps (ghats) that attract pilgrims from all over India; it is these waters of the River Ganges that are believed to be the elixir of life.
  • Tour the Old City and take an excursion to Sarnath, believed to be the site of the Buddha's first sermon.


Agra

  • Continue to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, for lavish accommodation at The Oberoi Amarvilas.

  • Take a horse-drawn carriage to the Taj Mahal.

  • Visit the Agra Fort and the Old Agra City Market.

  • Relax in the hotel's spa, pool, and gardens.

Jaipur
  • Continue to Rajasthan, one of India's most enchanting regions.

  • Take in the culture of the Maharajas and indigenous tribes that contribute to the region's rich folk traditions, including dance, music, and beautiful crafts.

  • In Jaipur, take an elephant ride to the forts.

  • Attend an evening Arti ceremony at a local temple.

  • Explore the medieval backstreets filled with artisans' shops that specialize in textiles, leatherwork, woodblock prints, tribal accessories, perfumes, jewelry, household goods, and Jaipur's traditional blue pottery.

  • Relax in luxury, tented accommodation at The Oberoi Rajvilas'an elegant resort that grandly reflects the romance and grandeur of Rajasthan.
Udaipur & Bombay
  • Continue to Udaipur, India's most romantic city, with beautiful palaces overlooking Lake Pichola.

  • Explore the palaces, the nearby Jain temples, and the picturesque whitewashed backstreets in Udaipur before concluding the tour in Bombay.

Day 01 Arrive Delhi
Arrival transfer to The Imperial for 2 nights.
 
Day 02 Delhi
Private touring to Gandhi Museum, Old & New Delhi, Lodi Gardens, and the Craft Museum. Dinner at one of Delhi's best restaurants. (B,D)
 
Day 03 Delhi - Varanasi
Transfer and flight to Varanasi for overnight at the Taj Ganges. City tour of Varanasi, ghats, and excursion to Sarnath. Attend an evening ceremony on the river. (B)
 
Day 04 Varanasi - Agra
Early morning boat ride on the Ganges. Continue touring city and its craft districts. Afternoon transfer and flight to Agra for 2 nights at The Oberoi Amarvilas. Afternoon visit Taj Mahal by horse-drawn cart. (B)
 
Day 05 Agra
Visit Agra's markets and surrounding forts and palaces. Afternoon at leisure at hotel. (B)
 
Day 06 Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur
Touring of villages and ruins at Fatehpur Sikri en route to Jaipur for 3 nights at The Oberoi Rajvilas. Afternoon touring to the Observatory, the Maharaja's City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Arti ceremony at local temple. (B)
 
Day 07 Jaipur
Morning elephant ride and visit to Amber Fort and Jaipur's local palaces, gardens, and bazaars. Rajasthani-style dinner this evening. (B,D)
 
Day 08 Jaipur
At leisure at The Oberoi Rajvilas. Car and driver is available for additional touring, if desired. (B)
 
Day 09 Jaipur - Udaipur
Fly to Udaipur for 3 nights at The Oberoi Udaivilas. Afternoon boat ride on Lake Pichola. (B)
 
Day 10 Udaipur
Full-day tour of City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon Ki Bari garden, and the backstreets of Udaipur. (B)
 
Day 11 Udaipur
Morning excursion to Ranakhpur to see the complex of Jain Temples. Afternoon at leisure in Udaipur. (B)
 
Day 12 Udaipur - Bombay
Transfer and flight to Bombay for 2 nights at the Taj Mahal Hotel. Afternoon private city touring. (B)
 
Day 13 Bombay
Boat excursion to caves dedicated to Lord Shiva on Elephanta Island. (B)
 
Day 14 Depart Bombay
At leisure until airport transfer. (B)
