Singapore

  • Begin in Singapore, a city that provides a perfect overview of Asian culinary variety, with its Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, and Middle Eastern influences.

  • Visit colorful markets and specialty shops in the city's different ethnic neighborhoods.

  • Take an educational walking tour through a spice garden that dates from colonial times.

  • Participate in a cooking class that uses the carefully chosen herbs and spices picked from the garden.
Saigon
  • Fly the short distance to Saigon, in Vietnam, where you'll spend days enjoying the incredible array of street stalls, open-air markets, cafes, and acclaimed new restaurants.

  • Morning cooking classes will be hosted in the private home of one of Vietnam's most famous instructors.

  • Learn Vietnamese favorites such as fresh pork and prawn spring roll with a peanut sauce, caramelized fish cooked in a clay pot.
Hue, Hoi An, and Danang
  • Spend several days in Central Vietnam in the towns of Hoi An and Hue, where you'll tour ancient temples and ruins.

  • Relish a private tour that introduces regional specialties, such as Hue's Buddhist-influenced vegetarian cuisine.

  • Discover other specialties, such as 'banh bao' white rose dumplings, cao lau noodles or 'com ga' (chicken rice), and 'banh khoai', a crispy savory pancake eaten with a unique peanut and sesame sauce.
Hanoi
  • Wrap up the Vietnam portion of this culinary tour in Hanoi, where you'll dine in romantic French villa restaurants in the Old Quarter, perhaps indulging in banana flower salad and roast duck.

  • Tour such delights as Hanoi's specialty shops, which feature cooking utensils and distinctive foods.

  • Join the chef from the Metropole Hotel during his morning market visit, followed by a cooking class.
Bangkok
  • Finally, enjoy several days in Bangkok for a chance to tour this dynamic city that overwhelms the senses
    -- particularly the culinary senses.
