This luxury tour focuses on three safari destinations, each with distinct landscapes and animal species.

Begin with a night in Nairobi, Kenya’s bustling capital city. Relax after your long flight in the comfort of one of the city’s best hotels, or enjoy private touring of Nairobi’s highlights. Perhaps visit the Sheldrick elephant orphanage, which is run by a charitable organization that helps save the lives of orphaned elephants and rhinos and is active in community outreach and anti-poaching programs. Another highlight is visiting Nairobi National Park to go on a game drive or safari walk. Other options include the Giraffe Centre, a sanctuary where visitors may learn about and feed endangered Rothschild giraffes; visiting local arts and crafts galleries and museums; or participating in various philanthropic activities.

Next, spend three nights in Chyulu Hills National Park, located on a volcanic mountain range in southeastern Kenya. Chyulu Hills is known for the great beauty of its landscape, as well as its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Game sighting opportunities are plentiful—it is located in the path of seasonal elephant migrations, and is home to a variety of species, including the Big Five. Stay in a small luxury lodge in the hills and enjoy daily game drives, walking safaris, horseback riding, mountain biking and night drives. Other activities may also be arranged, including visits to local villages, excursions to nearby Amboseli National Park, or a scenic flight around Kilimanjaro. One experience that should not be missed is sleeping outside on your own private rooftop “star bed,” and waking up to the majestic sight of Mount Kilimanjaro as the sun rises.

Continue to an intimate, stylish safari lodge located in a wildlife conservancy near Samburu National Reserve. Set on a rocky promontory, all of the lodge’s public and private spaces provide spectacular views over the acacia-studded grasslands below. The area is home to a variety of mammals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephants and over 350 types of birds, as well as a number of rare northern species found in few other parts of Kenya, known as the “Samburu Special Five”: Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx and gerenuk. Enjoy daily game drives, as well as other activities such as walking safaris, visits to local villages and markets, excursions to caves to see Samburu rock art, special meals in the bush, and opportunities to witness traditional Samburu ceremonies.

Finish in Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most legendary safari destination. Maasai Mara is famed for its stunning scenery and abundance of wildlife, as well as for being one of the places (besides the Serengeti in Tanzania) where one may witness the annual great wildebeest migration. Spend three nights at one of Kenya’s most luxurious and historic tented camps, located in one of the only parts of the Mara where black rhinos are still found. During exciting and informative game drives, look for rhinos and other members of the Big Five: lions, buffaloes, elephants and leopards. Cheetahs, zebras, Maasai giraffes, ostrich, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous antelope species are also seen frequently. If desired, activities such as walking safaris, river fishing, special meals in the bush, and more can be arranged. Return to Nairobi, where you will be assisted to your international flight.

Our Kenya tours and safaris include the very best safari guides and vehicles, and the most deluxe hotels and lodges in the country. We can arrange internal charter flights upon request, as well as special experiences such as hot-air balloon rides or mobile camp safaris.
