This private luxury tour combines the best of the Nordic capitals and Russia's two greatest cities, including culture, history, design, cuisine and lifestyle.
Begin in Copenhagen. With your own private guide, tour the highlights of the Danish capital, and see local landmarks such as picturesque Nyhavn harbor, Radhuspladsen square, the Copenhagen Opera House and the Old Stock Exchange building. Cruise through Copenhagen's harbor and canals, keeping an eye out for the Little Mermaid and interesting contemporary architecture. Visit boutiques dedicated to fine Danish design. Also visit the Torvehallerne market, a great place to have excellent coffee, delicious Danish pastries and traditional smorrebrod (open-faced sandwiches). Or perhaps explore the street food stalls of Reffen market. If desired, visit some of Copenhagen's palaces and museums, such as Rosenborg Castle, the Danish Jewish Museum, the National Museum of Denmark or Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. Perhaps also walk through Christiania, and see the nearby Church of Our Saviour and its famous corkscrew spire. One night, visit magical Tivoli Gardens to enjoy the twinkling lights, evening entertainment, and great cafes and restaurants.
Continue by first-class express train to Stockholm, and explore the many highlights of Sweden's seaside capital. Walk the medieval streets of atmospheric Gamla Stan (Old Town) to see the Royal Palace, Nobel Museum and other interesting places. Visit Stockholm's best food hall, and perhaps have lunch at one of its renowned restaurants. Tour City Hall, where the Nobel Prize dinner is held, to see its magnificent interiors, including the Gold Room, which sparkles with mosaics. Visit the best-known boutiques for Swedish design, including Svenskt Tenn. Also see the impressive and well-preserved 17th-century ship at the Vasamuseet. If desired, learn about traditional rural Swedish life at Skansen, an open-air museum filled with historic buildings from around the country. Also enjoy a cruise on the harbor and along the Djurgarden Canal. One day, enjoy an excursion to Artipelag, located on the outskirts of the city in the Stockholm Archipelago, to enjoy the art, architecture, cuisine and wooded trails overlooking the sea. Other touring options include visiting Rosendal's Garden, Haga Park, Hallwyl Museum, ABBA The Museum or the National Museum.
Next, fly to Helsinki to experience the lively culture, interesting architecture and excellent museums in Finland's dynamic waterfront capital. Visit Temppeliaukio, the famed "Rock Church" hewn from solid stone. Tour outdoor markets, indoor food halls, historic squares and the Kamppi Chapel of Silence, and see landmark buildings such as Finlandia Hall, the Railway Station and the Olympic Stadium. Drive along the coast to see beautiful historic villas and the impressive Sibelius Monument, which is dedicated to Finland's most beloved composer. Artisans of Leisure will arrange for you to have a private tour of the Alvar Aalto House, the home of the most important Finnish architect of the 20th century. If desired, also visit the nearby Studio Aalto. There will also be time to visit renowned cafes and Finnish design shops along Esplanadi Park in central Helsinki. Other touring options include the Arabia porcelain factory, the Design District, art museums such as Kiasma and Ateneum, Kaivopuisto Park, Seurasaari Open-Air Museum and Suomenlinna.
Venture by first-class express train to St. Petersburg to experience the artwork, palaces, waterways and lifestyle of Peter the Great's "window on the world." During private touring with your own guide and driver, visit the renowned State Hermitage Museum, one of the greatest art museums in the world, and gain special access to the Treasury Rooms. Tour highlights of the historical city center—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—such as the Peter & Paul Cathedral, Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, St. Isaac's Cathedral, Yusupov Palace, Faberge Museum and State Russian Museum. Take a private excursion to Pushkin to tour the Catherine Palace, a Baroque confection of blue, white and gold, including the Amber Workshop. During another excursion, visit Peterhof, Peter the Great's stunning summer residence, where pavilions and terraced water gardens overlook the Gulf of Finland. Also enjoy a private boat ride on the Neva River and through the city's canals, and browse interesting markets and boutiques selling beautiful, locally made items such as lacquerware and porcelain. One evening, attend a performance at the world-renowned Mariinsky Theater.

Conclude in Moscow, an exciting capital city filled with spectacular treasures. During private touring, visit the Kremlin's gold-domed cathedrals, and gaze at the czar's precious collections in the Armory.
