This private tour combines customized touring in London with the highlights of South Wales, including the best of culture-rich Cardiff, the charming town of St. Davids and the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast.
Begin in London, one of the world's greatest cities. Discover the best of London—heritage architecture, fascinating museums, important historic attractions, exclusive boutiques, traditional pubs and incredible food markets—during private touring customized to your interests. Tour famous landmarks such as the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, the British Museum, Covent Garden, the London Eye, St. Paul's Cathedral and Buckingham Palace. Perhaps explore other incredible museums around the city such as the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum, Churchill War Rooms, Sir John Soane's Museum, the Tate Modern or the Tate Britain. Also visit hidden squares, renowned British shops, atmospheric tea rooms and other highlights.
Next, transfer to Cardiff, the capital of Wales. During private touring, see highlights such as historic Cardiff Castle, glass-topped Victorian shopping arcades, the verdant spaces of Bute Park and the National Museum Cardiff, which has the largest collection of Impressionist paintings outside Paris. Also venture to Cardiff Bay, a revitalized waterfront district, to see the Senedd, where the Welsh Parliament meets in an architectural showpiece, and the Wales Millennium Centre, a landmark performing arts and cultural complex. Other options include a culinary tour of Cardiff Market and top food shops to sample local specialties such as Welsh cheese and Welsh cakes.
Enjoy a scenic drive through the mountains of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, stopping for a short hike or a visit to a romantic ruined castle on a hilltop. Alternatively, visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales, a former private estate with acres of gardens and a striking greenhouse designed by Foster + Partners.
Continue to The Grove of Narberth, a beautifully restored manor house hotel among rolling farmland and ancient trees. One day, enjoy a private excursion to St. Davids, a charming town in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park that was a major medieval pilgrimage site (the patron saint of Wales was born and buried there). Visit fascinating St. Davids Cathedral and walk along the tops of dramatic cliffs of the Pembrokeshire Coast. If desired, visit a local woolen mill and crafts shops.
Next, transfer to North Wales, stopping en route to visit historic sites or seaside towns. Stay in a luxury hotel in a historic manor house in Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and explore North Wales during flexible private day trips in the region.
One day, enjoy scenic touring and flexible hiking among the rugged mountains, verdant valleys and retired slate mines of beautiful Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. Depending on interests, also visit Portmeirion, a Mediterranean-style village among seaside gardens, stop by UNESCO-listed Caernarfon Castle or Harlech Castle or tour a small factory that makes premium sea salt. Upon request, a steam-powered train journey through Snowdonia can also be arranged.
Another day, take an excursion through the bucolic Conwy Valley to Conwy, a seaside castle town surrounded by medieval walls. Walk among the ramparts of Conwy Castle, a well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore the charming town center. Depending on interests, visit Llandudno, a seaside resort town filled with Victorian architecture, and the Great Orme, a limestone headland with a fascinating history and incredible views. Also enjoy time for afternoon tea at Bodysgallen Hall, a historic estate with stunning formal gardens, or explore Bodnant Garden, a National Trust property with notable gardens and parkland.
Return to London for additional city touring according to your interests.

Visiting Wales has always been on my bucket list. I’m so glad I was able to add it to my England trip. Thank you for making this side trip happen at the last minute. I was able to see a lot in only a few days. I am looking forward to returning again soon.
