Begin your tour in the stunning Sacred Valley of the Incas (Urubamba Valley). With your private guide, enjoy private flexible touring throughout the valley. Visit important Inca and pre-Inca sites, experience the local culture at indigenous markets, hike along Incan terraces, explore remote villages, meet a renowned local weaver, and enjoy Nuevo-Andean lunch. The Sacred Valley is the perfect place for soft-adventure activities, such as rafting, mountain biking, quad biking, day treks, and horseback riding. Your active touring will be customized to your exact interests and abilities. Upon request, opt to extend the tour with an overnight trek in the valley.
Next, board a train to Aguas Calientes for a day hike along a portion of the renowned Inca Trail leading to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Spend two nights at a lodge right near Machu Picchu and enjoy an in-depth private tour of the site with your own expert guide. Enjoy time at leisure to hike trails to stunning viewpoints and explore the grounds in the early morning and late afternoon, after most tourists have left.
Next board the luxurious Hiram Bingham train to Cusco for two nights. Stay at the Cusco’s most historic and distinguished 5-star hotel, where an oxygenated room will be arranged to help you acclimate to the high altitude. Your private guide will lead you through the narrow cobblestone streets as you learn about the fascinating Incan and Spanish history in the city. During your tour, visit important Incan and Spanish cultural attractions, browse art galleries, boutiques and the best artisan workshops and take an excursion to nearby Inca ruins.
On the final day, fly back to Lima where you will be assisted to the international terminal for your onward flight.
