Takamatsu: Isamu Noguchi’s Studio & Ritsurin Garden
Many of our tours include Benesse Art Site on Naoshima Island, and one of the activities we arrange from there is a private excursion to nearby Takamatsu on the island of Shikoku. The excursion can be done in just half a day and is recommended for anyone interested in Japanese art and culture.
We arrange private access to Isamu Noguchi’s former home for a tour of his studio, storehouse, and sculpture gardens.
With a private driver and translator, it’s possible to see the other interesting attractions in Takamatsu in just a half-day excursion from Naoshima. We include a stop at Ritsurin Garden, a landscape garden built during the Edo Period. Ritsurin is one of the most famous gardens in Japan.
We also like to include a few other local temples and shrines that are little-visited by tourists.
