Romantic Spain

(9 Days - Departs Daily on a Private Basis)
Barcelona, Mallorca, Madrid

Fall in love with Spain on this exclusive private tour. It's perfect for honeymooners or any other travelers looking for a very special getaway that combines top cultural destinations and luxury hotels with active options in some of the country's most beautiful landscapes.

Begin in Barcelona, the capital of the Catalonia region and a center of modern design and cutting-edge cuisine. During comprehensive private touring, discover Gaudi's fantastical structures such as the Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila, Casa Batllo and Parc Guell. Stroll along Las Ramblas—Barcelona's most famous boulevard—and explore the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter and La Ribera. Visit excellent museums such as the Picasso Museum or Miro Museum. If desired, browse upscale boutiques along the Passeig de Gracia and design shops in the stylish Born and Raval neighborhoods. Also visit top food markets such as the Santa Caterina Market and La Boqueria Market. One day, if desired, enjoy a private cooking lesson or an excursion to the mountains around Montserrat. Upon request, Artisans of Leisure can also arrange other activities in Barcelona, such as Jewish touring, tickets to soccer matches, visiting favorite family attractions, private yacht charters and foodie tours.

Next, fly to the beautiful island of Mallorca. Stay at a luxurious resort with postcard-perfect views of rugged mountains, traditional villages and olive groves. During private touring, explore the historic center of Palma, which dates from the Roman era and is the capital of the Balearic Islands. See highlights such as the Gothic cathedral, city walls, Moorish gardens, the former Jewish quarter, and medieval and modernista architecture. Perhaps browse for locally made Balearic sandals or blown glass, a specialty of Mallorca, and sample local cured meats, cheeses and pastries. Explore ancient villages such as Valldemossa, Banyalbufar and Soller, and see agricultural terraces and waterways that are part of the fascinating Serra de Tramuntana UNESCO World Heritage Site. Perhaps stop for a lunch of fresh seafood in a picturesque village overlooking the Mediterranean or relax on a hidden beach. One day, enjoy a private hiking or biking excursion in the mountains, or continue scenic touring. Depending on the season, also enjoy a sailing excursion along a coastline of dramatic cliffs and coves. Other activities, such as wine tasting, cooking classes, excursions to caves or lighthouses, hot-air balloon rides and private boat charters can be arranged upon request. There will also be ample time to enjoy the resort's extensive leisure facilities, including a spa, tennis courts and two pools.

End your tour with a night in Madrid, the Spanish capital known for its elegant squares, stately architecture, leafy boulevards and world-class art museums. This evening, enjoy a private tasting tour of some of Madrid's most beloved tapas bars.
