This private tour is an in-depth focus on Jewish history and cultural heritage in Israel. Each day, touring is with your own expert private guide and accommodation is in top rooms at Israel's best hotels.

Our Israel tours are designed for travelers who want a sophisticated private tour that focuses on Israel's rich history, culture and religious heritage—all with an emphasis on luxury. Daily touring is a mix of the most interesting neighborhoods, markets, architectural highlights, museums, archaeological sites, places of historical and biblical interest, natural wonders, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and our favorite lesser-known attractions.

Begin in Jerusalem, one of the world's most historically important cities. A city of countless monuments of enormous significance—the entire Old City is a UNESCO World Heritage Site—it is also a place of great beauty, with a balmy, Mediterranean climate and year-round sunny skies warming the golden hue of its limestone buildings. Today Jerusalem is a fascinating melange of cultures, created by the traditions culled from the diverse backgrounds and religions of its varied citizenry. Your expert private guide will bring Jerusalem and its multi-layered history alive through comprehensive touring of the city. In addition to touring well-known attractions and areas such as Mount Zion, Yad Vashem, Mount Herzl, the Knesset and the Western Wall, also enjoy in-depth touring of the Old City's Jewish Quarter and visit fascinating but lesser-known neighborhoods and monuments. Learn about the city's varied architectural styles, including Roman, Byzantine, Romanesque, Islamic, and Art Deco. Browse art galleries, specialty shops and markets as your guide helps you experience the very best the city has to offer.

One day, take an excursion to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Begin in Qumran, where the precious Dead Sea Scrolls (now located in Jerusalem's excellent Israel Museum) were found. Continue to Masada, the historic mountaintop fortress that is today one of the Jewish people's greatest symbols. Conclude at one of our favorite Dead Sea beaches—beautiful and away from the crowds. While there, we recommend relaxing with a float in the salt- and mineral-laden water, famous for its buoyancy and therapeutic qualities.

Spend the next two nights in the Galilee region at a luxury resort. En route, the ancient cities of Beit Shean, an ancient city settled at least 5,000 years ago and later converted into a Hellenistic city. Enjoy private touring around the Sea of Galilee (also known as Lake Tiberias and Lake Kinneret), an area renowned for its beautiful landscapes and proximity to important historical and biblical sites. Browse art galleries in Rosh Pina, sample wines at local vineyards or visit a kibbutz. Also tour the mystical town of Safed (Tfzat), one of the four holy cities of the Talmud and the birthplace of Kabbalah, and UNESCO-listed Acre (Akko).

Tour ancient ruins at Caesarea and Meggido en route to Tel Aviv, a vibrant city on the Mediterranean Sea coast. During private touring, experience the best of Israel's largest city: the Neve Tzedek neighborhood, UNESCO-listed Bauhaus architecture, Old Jaffa and the Carmel Market. Visit museums such as the Eretz Israel Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora, and explore the city's burgeoning contemporary gallery scene. If desired, we can also arrange a tour of the fascinating Ayalon Institute, a kibbutz that hid a secret underground ammunition factory. Additional options in Tel Aviv include specialized shopping, visiting the Design Museum Holon, strolling the port district or fashionable HaTachana, spending time on the beach and enjoying the city's excellent restaurants.
